"Make a Joyful noise unto the Lord, all the Earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with Singing!"
Orange UMC has a wonderful music program under the direction of Joy Turner. Throughout our history, music has always played a major role in spreading the Word and growing through fellowship at Orange. Throughout the community, Orange UMC is known as being a church diversely filled with musical talent. We also have several music groups performing regularly.
Things have been very busy in the music department! In the recent past, there have been many special services and programs and music has been a vital part of each one.
Homecoming was a wonderful service filled with great singing! Choir specials, solos and congregational singing were a big part of this annual event. It was really nice to have some of our past choir members back singing with us! It was such a blessing!
The Adult choir meets each Tuesday evening 7:00 - 8:00pm. They perform at many 11:00am church services, at special events, and at our community singings.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
The Children's choir meets every Sunday morning during Sunday school time - occasionally singing at the 11:00 church service and at special holiday events.

‘An UnPlugged Christmas’!
Periodically throughout the year, a group of teens and adults get together to play beautiful pieces of music with our Hand Chimes.
*We have just started a kids/youth hand bell group *
In the 1990's our blue-grass band, The Orangemen, was formed, consisting of several talented instrumentalists and singers from our church. This group has performed all across the state at various churches and special events. They are still blessing us with their joyous music today!
If you enjoy music, please consider joining one of our groups. Doing so will provide you with an opportunity not only to sing (or chime), but also to meet other music-lovers and develop wonderful friendships. Most of all, it will give you a chance to praise God through song!
